Santa Caterina Valfurva, freedom at high altitude
Reach the heights with the cable car and enjoy a wonderful experience surrounded by nature, history, and the Valley’s highlights. The Medium Mountain Guides provided by the lift company will be waiting for you at the cable car base to accompany you on the trails of the Alpe Valley and the Sobretta. The guided tour is free.

- COST: you only pay for the return ticket for the Santa Caterina-Vallalpe (Sunny Valley) cable car. We’ll provide the guide for you!

FAMILY IN NATURE
Accompanied by your guide, hiking up and down the trails and through nature becomes a fun experience for the whole family. In no time, you’ll learn to observe and appreciate what’s around you: flowers, rocks, mountains, and animals in a verdant valley at 2,800 meters, among edelweiss flowers, marmots, and alpine animals.

WALKING THROUGH HISTORY: The Great War in the Valfurva Mountains
There are many traces of the Great War (1915-1918), when our mountains served as a strategic defense point for the Italian border: trenches, artillery emplacements, and caves for troop shelters. Let’s revisit some of these places and artifacts together, in safety, so we won’t forget.

SATURDAY TREKKING
AT THE TOP OF MOUNT SOBRETTA: the cross that dominates the infinite panorama
How many times have you looked up at a mountain peak and thought, “What if I could get all the way up there? What would be there?” The hike we propose allows you to reach the summit of Mount Sobretta, at almost 3,300 meters above sea level, starting from an altitude of 2,700 meters, and enjoy fantastic views of all the mountain ranges in the area and beyond.

EDELWEISS TREKKING
Sunday excursions are dedicated to exploring various medium-length and difficult nature trails in the beautiful Alpe Valley, overlooking the massive Monte Sobretta. Among natural lakes, rocky ridges, and glacial ravines, it’s not uncommon to walk alongside marmots and chamois, and under the watchful eye of a bearded vulture.
